SCHOOLHOUSE EARTH PROJECTS

Language of Cultural Change

Building an environment for learning, mutual growth, and honor, and excellence!

Cultural change is a function of leadership and it starts with a commitment to a specific future. If we use an analogy it could be said that the captain of a ship accounts for only 5% while the crew of the ship accounts for about 95%. If the captain gives an order and no one moves, will the ship change course? Absolutely not! We see this phenomenon occur frequently when the leader of an organization makes a bold declaration about the future but the rest of the organization does not get on board. The result is that not much happens. The leadership will then begin to apply pressure or force of some kind and the crew will begin to resist.

This program is designed to assist the leadership of a school define a future that inspires and expresses the leadership and the crew, create a game plan for communicating it in a such a compelling way that the fulfillment is inevitable.

Aligning people from different ethnic backgrounds, age groups, economic situations, and educational backgrounds takes a very powerful type of communication and taking consistent action to fulfill that commitment over time. Movement do not happen in a day, but they can be fun and empowering to all involved and the results well worth the effort.

Language of Cultural Change has been designed to provide powerful design and communication tools. This program incorporates the Foundation For Results model and group project technology to bring playful alignment to diverse groups.
